Cooper Guinea is a prominent name in Commercial and Music Theatre choreography, known for his dynamic and intricate pieces. Originally from Victoria, Cooper works and trains with dancers across Australia including highly acclaimed choreographers such as Cassie Bartho, Paris Cav & Kelly Aykers.

After completing his dance training at Kelly Aykers Full Time Dance, Cooper launched his career as a dancer and performer. Including both professional and pre-profesional performances. Cooper has appeared as an Assistant at the Victorian Dance Festival (VDF) alongside Kelly Aykers. Aswell, as a dancer for the Melbourne Dance Company, Company A.
Transitioning into choreography, Cooper quickly established himself as a highly-acclaimed creative. Known for his ability to deliver high-intense clean performances that cater to range of styles. Cooper most recent projects include choreogrpoahinl for Full time Dance courses as well as Music Theatre Companies. Over the past few years, Cooper has choreographed musicals such as, 'NEWSIES', 'HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL' and '9 TO 5'. Most recently, making his directorial debut in a new and modern version of 'PETER PAN'.
Cooper is an award winning dancer and choreographer. Cooper won the 2021 Victorian GUILD Award for ‘Best Dancer’. He then went on to win a commendation in 2022 for ‘Best Choreography’ for his first ever musical as choreographer within ‘NEWSIES’, for BLOC Music Theatre. Most recently Cooper was nominated for a Victorian GUILD award “Best Choreography” for his work on Dolly Parton’s smash hit musical, '9 TO 5'.
Cooper started working professionally at the age of 12, in the 2015-16 Melbourne season of ‘MATILDA' the Musical at the Princess Theatre. Other credits include: Jack Ridley in the Australian Premiere of 'THE BATTLE OF BOAT' at Chapel of Chapel, Melbourne, Dancer Extra in the Robbie Williams Film 'BETTER MAN', Steven in 'BRING IT ON!' at Gasworks Theatre, Melbourne.
Upon completing the season, Cooper then came back to dance competitively under the instruction of Soraya McKee for a total of 4 years winning numerous sections across the state. In 2019 his Under 16 Jazz solo, ‘Joker’ was undefeated at regional eisteddfods.

At the beginning of 2022, Cooper was fortunate enough to be awarded the 'Peter Jacobs Memorial Award' for his outstanding contribution to the BLOC theatre company.​​​

Continuing to train, Cooper has participated in workshop and masterclasses under Briar Nolet and Myles Erlick (The Next Step, World of Dance, West Side Story) and Brent Street (Cassie Bartho, Paris Cav, and Stephen Tannos). Here, Cooper was offered to study a diploma of Performing Arts, in Sydney at Brent Street.
